It's nice headcanon but I don't think Tolkien really intended that desu. He wrote the three books as one long "epic" and divided them quite arbitrarily and without a lot of thought, the titles are pretty haphazardly slapped on to each book. I doubt RotK has any more of an esoteric meaning than "The Fellowship of the Ring" - which is pretty literal although you could argue that "The Two Towers" has multiple interpretations.

Generally speaking, it's a satire that has serious advice. That's the real big brain interpretation: that reality is a little absurd when it comes to power and that the advice, while it works, is ridiculous that it does.

Also, the Republic's application to the psyche is a contingency plan, if the ideas are not applicable to society for some reason, as stated in the last book of the Republic.

Crime and punishment is an allegory for gay anal sex. Raskolnikov is initially curious about what it's like to try it (murder). One day he musters up the courage to finally try it but something goes terribly wrong that he wasn't expecting...someone walks in during the crime (gets poop on his dick). He panics and spends most of the book traumatized by the experience (I am not really gay am I?). He wants to tell everyone but understands the consequences (in the closet, homophobia). Finally he confesses (comes out of the closet) and spends years in prison. Prison is analogous to homosexuality being a nasty miserable lifestyle that should be punished.
