Couldn't understand a thing about the discussion of difference around Hegel and Leibniz (1st chapter), so I'm looking for secondary literature on this book.
What should I read?

You should read real philosophy: http://orgyofthewill.net/read/

You're welcome.

You're wasting your time. It's deliberate nonsense.

D&R is difficult. I got filtered by the math.

Haven't read any literature on that book specifically but I can recommend Hardt on Deleuze.

Fortunately I am slowly learning to comprehend Capitalism and Schizophrenia and it is fun.

How much Hegel and Leibniz have you read?

Read Monadology and PoS.

Possibly Baumgarten, Prolegomena, the Lesser Logic, and Hyppolite/Kojeve too.

Why should I spend my time with Deleuze?

Considering you are literally supposed to start with the conclusion, I don't really think he should be taken very seriously. He is trying to be obscurantist and mind bending for the sake of it, and even he admits it. It is more like a thought experiment than something you could base your thinking on, much less your outlook on life.
