>>14949128
Nothing. I’m using it now and it’s good. Just want something more substantial to speed up the process.

How am I supposed to know what is good and what isn’t?

not that anon but a lot of the sentences in the duolingo course are awkward and unidiomatic, though not grammatically wrong. duolingo at best is useful for getting a feel for a language and learning some vocab, but that's it.

>> No.14949320

>>14949314
not op but I like duolingo for the pronunciation

To add onto that guy's post, the voice recordings are usually horrendous.

The voice recordings are in the reconstructed Classical Pronunciation, whereas Latin has been spoken in Ecclesiastical Pronunciation for nearly 2000 years.

>> No.14949718

>>14949685
I use the Classical Pronunciation myself. I'm saying the audio quality is bad. Mind, I went through it when it first came out, someone else has told me they've updated it since I used it.

Duolingua isnt bad in general, especially for some other langagues, but specifically their Latin course is poorly put together and not up to the same standards as the more developed courses.

>> No.14949857

>>14949838
I think it even says this on the latin course someithing like "This course is still in production" or something.

Also yes, would recommend Ørberg's Lingua Latina per se Illustrata, also Cloelia
