my own personal reasons for not following through:

1) My life was full of pain; even if temporary, I couldn't bring myself to inflict the additional pain it would take to actually end my life.

2) Couldnt figure out how to do it without causing additional pain for others. Cant leave a mess behind for someone to find and fuck them up. Cant just disappear and have people wondering forever.

3) it required a conscious decision. At that point in my life making a decision to get out of bed was hard. There was no way i was in a condition where I could make an even harder decision to end it all
