Singer could be if he didnt have shit for brains.

in terms of thinking whose ideas have power over society, I think you should start with economists. Then move on to diplomats.

Kissinger might be the right answer, but his influence was direct and not a matter of his ideas.

Osama wasn't an Arab. He was an Afghani. Also, he was a CIA asset, and 9/11 was an inside job orchestrated by neocon Corporatists, evangelical Christcucks, and Israeli Zionists.

It depends on the type of philosophy, of course. Chomsky, Dennet, and Habermas are certainly up there. Amartya Sen might be added to the list, if we consider him a philosopher. Stephen Pinker has exerted a huge influence on Cognitive Science, and I think he has a lot of people who look to him for advice, but he's not really part of on ongoing critical, institutionalized philosophical tradition.

How is Habermas "barely a philosopher"? Philosophy is far from all of his output but neither is Chomsky's so how are you determining this?

Singer is also becoming increasingly influential it seems but probably not up there with these guys.
