I am interested in Tibetan Buddhism. I don't care if it's the true teachings of the Buddha or not. What is the Tibetan Canon equivalent of the Pali Canon?

In English it's just called the Tibetan Canon, as far as I know it is less settled than the Pali or Chinese canons, but I'm an ignoramous on Buddhism.

I would recommend the following book. https://www.amazon.com/Nyingma-School-Tibetan-Buddhism-Fundamentals/dp/0861711998

It is divided in to two sections, read the second section first as it is a detailed history of the transmission of Tibetan Buddhism out of India and in to Tibet, its development over several centuries. The first section is an thorough outline of the oldest of the 4 major Tibetan schools, but you will have to find a similar treatment of the others elsewhere.

I'm afraid to read books by modern, specially Western authors because I fear that they might project their views like Buddhism = atheism or Buddhism = feminism, etc. I prefer to just read the sutras and commentaries by credited authors like Asanga.
