It's great storytelling. I wouldn't call it beautiful prose though.

Look for anything in Spanish (from SPAIN) romanticism or modernism/post modernism in Latin America. Modernism literally developed in Latin America and its the most beautiful shit in the world.

Like, modernism/post moderenism's whole enterprise is being beautiful and dreamy.

Also, you could look for Spain Baroque. Góngora if you want pretty and complicated shit that may not mean much in the end. Quevedo if you are in for simple things with deeper meanings.
