Bible plagues? The virus, as serious as it is, is just the second punch to the economy. The supply chain will bounce back once we’re clear of COVID, but the trillions they’ve been pumping into the banks isn’t working. Bailouts aren’t working.
The nation is not going to ever recover. This descent has been happening since the 70s. Rough times ahead.
Spooky? There will be more pandemics, floods, droughts, hurricanes, and ever higher temps. Hopefully we, at least parts of the country, will throw off capitalism. But I know plenty will continue to bash their head against the wall to cure their headaches

the economy wouldn't be crashing nearly as badly if it wasn't so overvalued in the first place. anybody who knows anything about economics knew we were in a bubble that was going to burst around the election and Trump decided to try and hold it off until he could win. the fed was ready for a recession similar to 2008 but it wasn't ready for everyone to be quarantined unable to work or shop. we're going to be fairly fine though, just helicopter brrrrrr our way out and start buying precious metals or crypto for when the yuan takes over as the reserve currency.

"overvalued" is a relative term, whatever the number is the percentage change would probably be the same

>start buying precious metals or crypto for when the yuan takes over as the reserve currency.
China wants to maintain their position as the global workshop and not give up their manufacturing sector therefor the yuan can't function as reserve currency
