Lit how does one succeed in dedicating their days so dutifully to study and learning?

Are there any anons that would be able to share their genuine advice for realising such a motivation and state of mind? To be able to just dedicate hours upon hours on study, or learning history or a language without distraction or the slightest desire to be not doing so? How exactly do you instil such an admirable internal philosophy?

Stop looking for motivation and just do it.

It’s like /fit/, the best reason to use to motivate yourself to keep lifting is to have no reason. Just lift like you’re brushing your teeth.

Just read like you’re brush your teeth. Read every day for a certain amount of time and just make it per of your life. Motivation will always wax and wane, but habits, once built, become nearly second nature.

Does this really work? I only ask because I'm wary that brute forcing things sometimes only works in the short term but are withered down by your subconscious resistance.

Sounds great if it really is so simple as to un-thinkingly will it into your psyche

Not even just for learning greek and the likes, but such focused study just in a general academic (or non-academic even) sense. Somewhat egotistical maybe, but kind of imagining the kind of mindset that would enable me to use time so that one may rise above the common standard and achieve an impressive amount of knowledge or any other aspiration

Manic depression and different drugs

Some days I exercise hard as fuck, some days I study hard as fuck, other days(most of them) I'm rendered useless by the substances

It's called discipline. You wouldn't know anything about it. You just make it a habit. You don't think about it. You just commit to it and do it.

discipline seems to me to be a bit of a meme concept, personally found that it's an unthinking idea that fails me as soon as I seriously ask "Why?", so don't know if "just doing it" is the most sustainable approach, will give it a try though as a previous anon said it quite well

This isn't fit, do really think that saying other people aren't going to achieve something that you are? Indeed, sorry to disappoint but saying things like this is probably more symptomatic of a character unlikely to "make it" as you said.

Just looking for something beyond mere "discipline" alone (which seems to produce more mediocrity than anything else) if you see what I mean, the likes that will take one beyond the limits of mere discipline and "will power" alone

and

Does this sound exactly like discipline to you? Perhaps diligently would have been a better choice than dutifully, suppose really just looking to foster a sense of keen curiosity and interest and from there to, as you said, be able to dedicate days to study and learning

Perhaps this is too personal a question to be hoping anons on the internet to have gone through a similar issue, but I never really know
