Zoomer here who has had his mind corrupted by social media by trying to be like others out of desperation and loneliness. The path I have carved for myself seems to worsen and worsen as time goes on. Can anyone here help me with some good books to refresh my brain to how it used to be pre-instagram, twitter, etc? I'm thinking of slowly reading the Bible to cleanse my mind and joining my local church as I have no real friends and think getting together with people there would make me feel connected to something.

Church is a great idea. Also websites devoted to meeting groups people for wholesome activities like hiking are always very active.

Look up Alan Watts on YouTube, been dead for a while now but his talks are fantastic. He has a couple of books out. He'll help you get grounded.

If you want to go the Christian route, start with Tolstoy's "Gospel in Brief". It distills the NT down to its essense.

It's great that you feel like reading the Bible, that just means you seek gnosis. However, christianity is tainted by politics, I would recommend you start with the greeks, and THEN the bible.

There's no going back. You'll never be able to go back to your previous state. However, you can break free from this miserable mental state that modern communication systems have inflicted upon you. What you have to do is chase knowledge, for learning difficult things and building wisdom is VERY good for your condition. Start with the Greeks (Five Dialogues is a great starting point) and pick at least one STEM discipline too (I'd recommend math). This learning process and knowledge building will eventually raise you above from your current situation. It will be really hard in the beginning, though, as you'll have to resist your automatic impulses to see your feed, check your messages and binge watch YouTube/Netflix

Don't put too much stock in going back to church. If you seriously didn't believe in it before, you either have to genuinely find your faith or delude yourself with the knowledge that you're pretending stuck in the back of your brain.
You know what's interesting? I had a presentation in my public speaking class about social media and smartphone addiction that prompted me to set my phone to grayscale. After a couple of weeks, I found myself having dreams in black and white. When I told my friend about this, he said that he heard about a similar phenomenon happening when all TVs were grayscale. I bring this up to say that it's not too late at all. I genuinely recommend getting off of the internet. Since you're a zoomer, you probably have to use the internet for schoolwork, but otherwise do your very best to not use it. Not even having it would be best. I obviously don't practice this myself, but when I don't have internet I find it so easy to sit down and read anything or just do things that don't involve looking at a fucking screen.
Also, delete all social media. Duh.
