He's been reading MPC lately too, writing a lot about "scale" and how difficult it is for us to adapt our intuitions to an overscaled world where everything can be normal until suddenly it isn't because local institutions don't function at a self-sustaining level. it's becoming an issue of sovereignty and national security at this point, and populist localism and traditionalism is going to make a comeback as the obvious solution to these problems and in response to inevitable economic downturn and recent supply chain threats making the stakes crystal clear, proving taleb right yet again.

For me, it's because I wasted my time reading The Black Swan and Antifragile. Two books that could easily be summed up by two short blog posts. He rambles so much with stupid anecdotes/trivia, that eventually he ends up stretching the core concepts to the point of making them sound silly. You can spot a lot of sloppy/inconsistent writing if you scrutinize it.

Overall, I think what he says is reasonable, for the most part. But if you've read some essential philosophy, don't waste your time, you won't learn anything new.
