I love reading, so I do it as much as possible. I love writing too and usually do it on a whim, but immediately hate everything I write once I read something more profound.

I read nothing but shitposts like this all day. I'm a neet and I didn't sleep last night masturbating and laughing at the houmouour thread intermittently.

I read this fiction three times, first time in highschool. It was a fun adventure.

Typically I zoom over my favourite novel 'The Hallowed Prince' approximately one time over per hour in my favourite Brooklyn coffee shop before ordering a peach latte and listening to my lesbian BFF

It's easy, take all the effort and desire for recognition and place it on the page instead of the screen.

I've been a copywriter for more than a decade. In some jobs I've turned out thousands of words of long-form copy a week. My current role is in a complex field of healthcare so I spend a lot of time researching and talking to doctors.

I gave up writing creatively about the same time I started doing it professionally. I'm trying to get into it again. I write about 1,000 words per week in two sittings, which is pathetic by my professional standards.

As for reading, christ, 2 hours a day average?

Got unemployed at the very beginning of the month, and now taking that time to focus on writing my first book. Currently spending around 5 hours a day on it.
I also try to read one hour a day, everyday.
Enjoying this aspect of life so far but I have to find another job, sadly.

One to two hours a day is typical for me. I'm always happy when I get more than that done though.

Certainly not enough. I try to write for two hours a day and read anywhere from seventy to two-hundred pages a day, depending on my mood. I work as a waiter/server in a widespread corporate restaurant, perfect job for me as when I get off work and go home, my mental energy is at full capacity. My first job was in an office and oh boy, when you get home from a 8-4:30 workday at a boring, stare-at-your-computer data entry and handle paperwork and file all day job, it completely drains you. I spent a lot of time watching television during that time, reading was for the weekends. I am much happier now.

I used to work at a cafe/bar in the summer and it was perfect to get your mind thinking about shit, manual work frees you to think about other stuff

Exactly. I've literally composed verse and sentences in my head while bringing tables their drinks and food, and I can even write it down whenever since it looks like I'm organizing an order in my server book.
