I literally don't, all i know is it has something to do with language and the letter a is one. I remeber learning this in kindergarten. Guess It must have slipped my mind. I still have potential to be a great writer right?

Not OP, but I was like that for the longest time. Because English isn't my native language and I learned through osmosis, I had all these weird gaps in my knowledge -specifically relating to very basic stuff. I could read an academic paper with full comprehension, but I couldn't tell you what a 'noun' actually was and I couldn't say the time ('a quarter to ten' and all that shit).
Wouldn't surprise me if that happens to other people as well.

I have the same thing, I'm a native speaker but I couldn't tell you what a noun, verb, or adverb is. But everybody still says I'm smart, I have them all fooled.

Why are semivowels classified as consonants?
