Fink butchers Lacan with an Anglo-American interpretation. Don't read him if you want a pure unfiltered Lacan. Its the same with Zizek, he filters it through his own philosophy

If you have no background in philosophy, start with his movies then. Perverts Guide to Ideology will give you a good start into him.

Otherwise you do need to have some working knowledge of Freud, Lacan, Hegel, Marx, and Althusser. When he uses ideas from Lacan and Hegel he tries to explain them, but you absolutely must know something about Freud and Marx to get into his core works.
