Just audited your poll, anon, and as a reader of books I must insist that it just won't do! It asks too much! That is, would take far too long to take stock of all one's reading and submit a serious one through five or so. It would seem an easy thing to do (from a certain perspective) but it actually isn't: it would take far too long to do it justice.
In the future be more definite, have anons select from already provided answers.

You can just put one if you like. Plus there's way too many possible answers to do a full list of options and even then it will be limiting. Do you not have a mental list of favorite characters like you do for favorite books?
