People are driven to fascism because they correctly identify the problems with the current system (exploitation, alienation, dehumanization) but become convinced by the wrong solution or fail to see the real cause. Theoretically you'd just have to show them that their solution is inadequate and that socialism is the way to go. Of course humans aren't quite like that, some become so firm in their convictions that they can never be swayed, but the possibility exists. On the other hand, some of them are, let's say, Nazi-leaning by nature, and believe the problem with the current system is that it doesn't match their standards of intolerance and worship of spooks. This is a more nuanced problem, but it's also possible for them to snap out of it. Read more socialist /lit/
