Why do some writers bore us with all kinds of sexual details? It it really necessary to know the character's dick shape, and the way some other characters sucks their dick, how do they orgasm, etc?
While they're at it, why not write also about how many times to they pee, what kind of shits they take, how to they sit at the toilet, what's the smell...?

Some writers do include scatological details in their stories. But sex sells better.

How a person has sex can tell a lot about them.

To describe the mechanics of having sex and the bodies is easy. It gets hard when an author tries to descripe what the protagonists feel when having sex.
