If we bring the work ethic, the obsession, the sick fanaticism, the courage and the selfishness-with-his-own-time of this guy to the area of literature the chances of success become much greater.

There's also a threshold for genius, that past a certain IQ, say 140, a person can perform just as well as a person with a much higher score. The difference is work ethic and drive past a certain point. You can be a fucking genius and never produce anything because you're malaised and useless.
