Okay lit I read Animal Money by Michael Cisco (nothing to do with networking equipment) because some fag on this board told me to. By about halfway through the book I had gotten the hang of Cisco's random switching of narrators/perspectives/times/stories in the middle of a paragraph with no warning, and I was okay with Assiyeh being a made up character that became real and a worldwide economic cult with superpowers but then out of fucking nowhere the book zips into the scifi future with time travel and lesbian waifubots and the Economists become sort of demigods? SuperAesop is the guy from the beginning who gets gangraped by chimps, that much is obvious, but I feel like he was also subtly hinted at being a timetraveling Professor Aughbui. Cassandra was obviously a hallucination and I feel like throughout the book, all of the different narrators slowly go insane from their original head injuries.
I get that Animal Money is the experience and memory of an action as payment for an action but holy fuck 700+ pages is a long-winded way to say carpe diem
Overall I liked the book but I feel like it took my brains out and re-arranged them and then put them back in.
