Whoops. Clearly I didn't read the thread closely enough before commenting.

Her autobiography is an entertaining read, though there are some parts that definitely feel overly self-promoting. Penguin Classics has a lightly abridged version, which is what I read. "My Disillusionment in Russia" is sort of like Goldman's version of "Ten Days that Shook the World." Probably more worth reading as a historical document than as literature, imo.

I live in reality. One baby means very little to the world. One state is the entity that reifies a collective identity and allows them to both defend and force that identity and its associated aesthetic system upon the world. I agree that they are inefficient, but that has occurred because we have a mistaken conception of justice. We have long since made the mistake that the individual should be the subject of justice. It is the health of these hierarchies whose interaction frees human beings from their nihilistic human identity and gives them a life capable of generating meaning as something abstract and above humanness. Inp know my faults. My tendency towards (a sincerely felt) hyperbole, my overuse of adverbs, my repetition of terms, and my cramming of terms into extended strings with no breaks makes me seem more like a rambling fool than a serious political thinker.
