I'm almost at the end of Three Body Problem and haven't read the other one so I won't stay itt but want to say TBP is a good book that is all

Your at the end of the first or last one in the trilogy?

>> No.14739318

i've read three body and i think it is 8.5/10,
never hear about forever war

>> No.14739346

>>14738868
TBP should have been a book of bullet-point ideas instead of subjecting those poor wooden characters to the humdrum plot. There was only one semblance of a human in the books and you all know who it was.

That's the one. Was he the interesting character or Da Shi?

Ive only read the forever war, but Im guessing its better than modern Chinese scifi as it discusses
>the possibility of endless wars (something we do now)
>time travel with endless wars leading to veterans that are hundreds of years old but only seem 20 or 30
>one world government making everyone gay for population control
>one world government establishing cloning and only cloning 1 person to ensure they are obedient
>Enemy learning and coming back more advanced for each battle due to the number of years between fights.
that just scratches the surface, doesn't even get to the destroyed immoral society they come back to or the military putting false memories in peoples heads to get them to fight harder

>> No.14739924

>>14739885
yeah I thought Da Shi was an interesting character, too bad the author FUCKING FORGOT TO PUT HIM IN THE THIRD BOOK

the main character of the third book was better than the first for sure, but borderline wooden

Luo Ji was the best character by far especially for the kek factor of using his power to get a waifu

the forever war was very red pilled which is funny as it was written as a counter argument to starship troopers, squeals suck ends with mickey mouse in disney land being literal God
