I thought /lit/ might appreciate this reaction image I stole from Hark A Vagrant.

Best Wishes,

/k/

/k/ understands the importance of literature on warfare and diplomacy. We also love reading for it's own sake.

>Rommel, you magnificent bastard! I read your book!
>- Patton (movie)

/lit/ really should mine Hark for reaction images, so many are appropriate for this board

nice words, /k/.

Can you recommned me a books like the art of war?

>> No.1472325

I think /k/ is a pretty good catch for c/lit/.

Strong alpha male, doesn't 'fraid of anything.
I think we should put out, not too much tongue to start with though, we're not s/lut/s

Well the western equivalent is Clausewitz's On War.

Unfortunately like most western vs eastern works his is both more useful and more dated since it goes into specifics rather then broad concepts hidden in koans and cryptic metaphors.

As of this moment there is no contemporary equal to those two so your choices are: Ancient/Art of War, Old School/On War, and Modern/?????????

We're married to /an/ so we'll give you a chateau and children, but never our name.

The Art of War and On War are apples and oranges really.

The closest western equivalent to The Art of War would be Précis de l'Art de la Guerre (The Art of War) by Antoine-Henri Jomini. But out of the two, Sun Tzu is still a lot more useful than Jomini.

Fellow /k/ommando here. I quit /lit/ because of all the tripfaggotry, Kindle, and Ayn Rand bullshit, but came to this thread from the love letter one of you c/lit/s wrote for us.

Anyway, answer is pic related. Enjoy. I'm sure you can start a wishlist thread and get it, or just learn all about it from a homework thread.

/lit/ is a sty.

/k/, out.

So we're basically /k/'s dirty whore? Maybe we should seduce /an/ and turn this into a real love triangle.
