Reach next chapter. Check my mood. Read the next.
Repeat until failure.

The objective is an average of 700 a week or 100 a day, though I typically end off around 80-90 on work days, and shoot for more on my days off, sometimes up to 180 (only did that once but 150-160 is not so far off).

150 pages was a nice read 2bqh I mentioned the book to my students because the writer is a friend of mine and a colleague as well and I translated it but no one will read a book with mandragora!!! as a title except three or four young ladies

You can read a book in one day on the weekend.
Us full time workers can't do that on work days.

>having a reading goal
I just read. And when I'm too tired or have to do something I stop.
I don't need to reward myself for reading, because reading is one of the things I reward myself with.

A chapter first thing after waking, a chapter last thing before going to sleep, whatever I fit in when I'm bored and idle throughout the day. That's assuming a chapter length of about 20 pages. Less than that and I'll probably read two in the morning and two at night. More than that and I'll just go in the morning for half an hour and before bed until I'm tired.

That's my own free time reading. Academic work discounted. Takes up most of my day.

I usually just read for pleasure when I’m not reading for coursework. I don’t try to hit a specific number of pages each day.

How many words per page? Some books have fouble spaced large font and 2" margins. I just finished Musashi and the shit was printed on bible paper and dense with words per page. Harry plopper is "300" pages yet is only 10 hours in audio format while musashi is 60 hours and 960 pages.

>> No.14698988

Im fairly new to reading so I make sure to at least get at least 10 pages a day to keep the habit of reading regularly forming. If I’m enjoying the book of course I read more but if it’s something deeper like my philosophy books I make sure to pace myself so I can absorb the information well and process it accordingly.
