Do people actually read someone that got btfo'ed? Like, no memeshit, why would you ever read someone who has a systemic philosophy that doesn't work? It's like a waste of time

Why do people read the Bible?

Cope. And he doesn't have a systematic philosophy his philosophy is assembling. You would know this if you read him as he distinguishes these two in Modes of Thought.

I'm not even trying to argue i'm just asking for an explanation as to waste time reading a failure of a philosophy. I mean, you can't tell me a philosophy isen't systemized if it IS assembling because it IS something. You either 1. Fail to understand Whitehead himself or 2. Don't know what your talking about. So, please to reply to my post and reach out to a better representative of Whitehead

Yes, there are those on /lit/ who still read Guenon despite the fact that he was preemptively refuted by Whitehead.

I'm reading Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France and it is a useful exercise despite Burke being a meme

The post-structualists, namely Deleuze and Derrida with their differential ontologies, did "process" better than the (so called) process philospher par excellence.

>he doesn't have a systematic philosophy
>Speculative Philosophy is the endeavour to frame a coherent, logical, necessary system of general ideas in terms of which every element of our experience can be interpreted. By this notion of of 'interpretation' I mean that everything of which we are conscious, as enjoyed, perceived, willed, or thought, shall have the character of a particular instance of the general scheme. (Process and Reality, pg. 3)

systematization is, at least, the point of departure (or line of flight?) for whitehead in his taking up the problem of metaphysics. his construction is, though, i would agree, a kind of 'assemblage' in that it is provisional, exploratory, and situated within the problem, within a tradition, or whatever.
