One of the first books I read as an adult after a very long hiatus from reading (didn't read in high school or for a few years after). Enjoyed it at the time, reread it recently and thought it was pretty bad, but it probably helped get me back into reading.

Shabby. Reads like a second language text.

It's attractive conceptually, and it's small, "cute".

Steinbeck is better, but too masculine. Coelho is like very watered flower tea. No real substance or taste, faint pleasant smell.

23, just read it a little while ago for shiggles. It was nice, although it kinda comes across like The Secret in some ways. Def a kid's book, but nice nonetheless. Not really about alchemy.

I read it all the way back in 9th grade, and thought it was great. I recently re-read it and realized that its decent at best.
