"The eyes of the Siberian dog", an 11yo comes to the realization that his brother is going to die of AIDS and decides to write a diary, it dwells in misery and hatred by the mid-point, specially after his brother dies, forcing the reader into an abismal sense of impotency.

Work in retail for awhile, you'll understand why it's both necessary and just to do so.

The most disturbing scene in BM that no one talks about is midway into their trek when they come across a secluded village of peaceful Indians and just massacre them, women and children included. It was described in such detail and you just want it to be over.

I haven't watched the movie, but what disturbs me about the book is the graphic depictions with so little speaking between the characters. All their dialogue could probably fit on 3 or 4 pages, but every one of the 200 pages is nonstop graphic sexual violence. Every page read normalizes the obsession of the characters. The hours I spent reading this were just filled with graphic imagery of blood, metal, and semen mixed into one. I was exhausted.

DescriptionThe Kiss is a memoir by American author Kathryn Harrison. First published in 1997, the memoir details her relationship with her estranged father, which culminated in a sexual affair when they finally met again when she was an adult

This book perfectly describes grooming, and i suggest it to be read by people that have to do with counselling abuse victims
its a true story and it still shocks me after many years of reading it
