I plan according to a production demand forecast the materials required to produce the needed finished goods volume. I coordinate material volumes, prices, delivery conditions, and lead times with suppliers to match the material requirements of this finished goods production. I do this for two medium-to-large sized factories. I also track supplier performance and start the qualification process for developing new suppliers.

I coordinate with our procurement department, product development department, and brand department regarding specialized projects requiring non-usual materials and how to plan storage and consumption rates for minimization of write offs.

More simple materials planning jobs can be just placing purchase orders with suppliers based on an ERP forecast readout. This doesn't require a good brain. Complex materials planning jobs typically require a master of science in supply chain management or strategic procurement in order to get hired. All depends on the complexity and predictability of the production.

Yeah but I like it. If you are good, job security is high, and I get paid a nice salary.

Some days are a bit boring, but others are like solving a series of logic puzzles. Get it right, and you can keep production running and make millions. Get it wrong and production stops and you lose millions. I plan for an incredibly agile production and demand changes all the time, which means there is no automation in the planning process, and I get to create my own systems for tracking material needs and calculating stock projections. It's nice to have this freedom.

My misanthropy has nothing to do with the culinary tastes of those I serve, or my job in general, it has to do with the hedonistic mentality of America. People live to only gain pleasure out of life since they're devoid of meaning, resorting to frivolous activities without meaning and making a ritual of them to extract as much pleasure possible. The entertainment culture is the most disgusting aspect of my culture. Everyone worships athletes and celebrities, holding them up as national heroes because true heroism is lacking in modernist society. We had national mourning for a basketball player, but nobody gives a shit over a hundred people have died in China from the Coronavirus, or the thousands that die overseas in the Middle East. Americans have pseudo virtues, likely a result of their pseudo religious denominations of Protestantism. They don't give two shits about anyone but themselves. Family has no importance as half of our marriages end in divorce due to the normalization of promiscuity (the average American has 3-4 sex partners before marriage). But the most angering aspect is that ignorance reigns supreme. Instead of reading or working out, the American collective continues to consume and waste time, then bickering about why they have things rough. They dedicate nothing to the pursuit of knowledge or strength, only getting fat eating chips while watching The Big Game, an event that's become a national holiday. I went to church today in the evening and there was only less than 100 people in attendance, even though we typically accommodate a thousand. In lieu of honoring God they wanted to honor their glorified game of fetch, hooting and hollering at a television screen. I hope a very violent war occurs soon.

I love that impressionistic style of music, the girl with the flaxen hair is one of my favourite classical pieces, Satie is another composer in that school that I enjoy. And after Bach Rachmaninoff is my favourite all-around composer.

>> No.14655629

>>14655613
You've got good taste, Satie's atmosphere is unmatched. Check out Pantomime and Nuit De'toiles by Debussy. Those are the songs I'm currently working on, and I'm lucky enough to have a voice for debussy. Check out Ravel too, he ran in the same circles as Satie and Debussy. His Miroirs and Jex D'eau are lovely, like a lighter impressionism.

>> No.14655656

>>14655629
I'll check the Debussy song out. I love Ravel too, his String Quartet - II Assez vif still sounds really contemporary and unlike any other classical music I've heard. It's funny, I used to play arcanum might and magic as a kid, so when I heard Ravel for the first time it was really familiar because I'm pretty sure that soundtrack was heavily inspired by him.

>> No.14655664

I play piano as a hobbyist and that string quartet is still a massive inspiration for me, just compositionally.
