The claim that bearsharks do not exist, are 'mythical creatures', can only be held and are only held within certain mental, social, political constructs, collectively known as 'scientific realism'. In and of itself, scientific realism does the world an injustice by forcing its precepts on every culture from the 1st to the third world, and denying cultures there belief of the bear shark, in the name of 'rationality'.

if, according to hume, all we have is sense perceptions, terms like "electron" or "Carl Sagan" are mere auxiliary functions of the minds linguistic center used in order to organize our perceptions of the exterior universe. In order to progress in science it is necessary to assume the opposite of such perceptions in a method of 'counter-induction', in order to prove whether they are real or not.

>From December 1943 on, he served as an officer on the northern part of the Eastern Front, was decorated with an Iron cross, and attained the rank of lieutenant. After the German army started its retreat from the advancing Red army, Feyerabend was hit by three bullets while directing traffic. It turned out that one of the bullets had hit him in the spine. As a consequence of this, he needed to walk with a stick for the rest of his life and frequently experienced severe pains. He spent the rest of the war recovering from his injuries.

Moar liek "Shit, I'm drafted, I'll train to be an officer and hopefully I eon't fight":
> After a short leave, he joined the army and volunteered for officer school. In his autobiography, he wrote that he hoped the war would be over by the time he had finished his education as an officer.
