What books will help me find comfort in the fact that no one will ever love me? Pic related was alright.

Ask this to yourself.
Are you even capable of love?

Then how can you expect to be loved by someone else? And so, why should you care for something that you are not capable of feeling?

Stop being a fag. Stop asking for book recommendations for books you'll never read. Stop seeking attention from losers on a taiwanese basket weaving board.

But I read most books that are recommended to me.

Book of disquiet by Fernando Pessoa. I don't get why people can't just give a raccomandation instead of moralfagging.

You don't read a book to repress desires that you can't fulfill. You have to replace it with some other hobby or work. Unironically, coping is the only way but if you have been conditioned by 4chan to view coping as a bad thing, you are gonna have a tough time.

Personally, I started reading more and became more religious. I feel as if those are pretty good ways to make yourself more positive and also take your mind off things you can't control. Yeah I wish I had a girlfriend, but there's nothing I can do about it so I just try and isolate myself and get better at the things I enjoy.

Books are not necessarily coping methods. They can help you understand your problems and possibly let you conceive of ways to work towards fixing them, or failing that bring closure and a sense of finality to your failures so you are not tormented by any "what ifs".

People here are being unnecessarily rude. I recently read No Longer Human and I have been able to relate to the protagonist's feelings greatly. I can't help but think that maybe such literature is starting us on a path of no return though. Once you really dive into the ideas Dazai describes and start to believe in them yourself, you'd really have nothing left to lose.
