So /lit/, I've somehow ended up in a situation where I'm happy with no reservations and no real driving need for change in my life. I have money that I make at an agreeable job, one friend, books, anime, and music to occupy myself with in my free time. I get home from work and mostly just groove while listening to music, drink a little wine, occasionally read a book or watch anime. When I go to bed I feel happy and when I wake up I look forward to doing it all over again.
I still set aside some time every day to keep learning Japanese (out of a desire to some day work in Japan, one of my oldest dreams) and also read and write poetry. But I find myself questioning why I pursue any of that now.
So /lit/, is it okay to live this way? Is this it, the endgame for life or should I be thinking about another stage? Any literature that addresses this?
Pic unrelated.

It's normal. You and I are quite similar. Your problem is you have nothint bigger than your own self. Interests in the arts? Living abroad? A little job and apartment? All for you. Nothing you do is for anything but you. Taking care of yourself is the most important thing, but it isn't enough. You need to now create something.

I think I get what you're saying. Would you agree that for the interests I've mentioned, I need a reason to do it beyond thinking I'll enjoy it?
>You need to now create something.
Please elaborate.

What you should do is transition from a consumer mentality to a producer mentality. Maybe write a novel

If it feels right it's questionable to question it. Only you can know the answer at the end of the day. To tell you the truth, I'd give a lot to be back where you are

It's up to you, but it sounds like it. What it is you decide to create is up to you. For some it's a career, for some it's a family, for some it's artistic works, for some it's some kind of craftsmanship, athletic career, god the things people create.. It's all up to you, but what I do know is that what you're telling me what you're doing right now isn't enough.

Late 90's and early 00's Japanese sports cars were so aesthetic.
