Warcraft orcs were originally nomads or what I like to call steppeniggers that had an honor culture that led them to be warlike but not overly cruel or violent. Depending on your biases orcs were (physically) corrupted by the butthurt incel or atheist race-traitor Gul'dan into the demonic horde of WC1.

Blizzard however retroactively refuted (time travel) the redemption the orcs get in WC3 in their Warlords of Draenor WoW expansion by showing that the orcs could have been led down the same genocidal path even without drinking demon blood.
