Salieri wasn't mediocre, anon. He'd trump most people in a blink. Its just that every once in a while we get too see mozarts as well, and they make those below them look like dust. Being a salieri is not all that bad.

Stop watching pop-history films. Salieri was a better man and was more pleasing in the eyes of God at the end of the day.

I think Sallieri was actually mediocre, at least in the movie, he's portrayed as someone who enjoys being a well known and respected composer rather than enjoying making music for the sake of it. I think that's where mediocrity stems from generally, in the real world as well as in the movie.

>tfw begin optimistic about the future, having a lot of new but rough ideas that just need to be written down, having intelligent people around to debate these ideas, going to theatre, art galleries, concerts and museums and studying art history and aesthetics on free time to live a fulfilling life and having love for every person that passes by

People who are exceptional at something, much like people who act moral, aren't that way because they put in more effort. It's actually the reverse, the action to be moral or to practice requires less effort for them to do than it does for others, it feels natural for them, and so they are better able to do it and do it more often resulting in an exponential superiority.

You should not love every person, they will drag you down with them and will only be content when you are as miserable as they are. You should actually start hating people not on the path you are on, and view any nicety as a pretense to drag them down with you. So far, I've severed most friendships and cut out my parents from my life.

Tbh, I always among my /lit/ freinds joke about how I'm the pleb brain of the group. I like reading hat work and analyzing it, but overall, I feel like I could only be exceptional as a freind of someone. This is why I dropped out of film school, I really have no interest in making art, only connections. Currently in the navy and will open my own buisness once I retire. Maybe then, after life has passed me by, I can finally write something to the level I would be satisfied with.

Only two kinds of people say this

1. Delusional idiots.
2. Rich people with money to burn.

The second strategy sometimes works but usually fails.

Alright, as long as you have some fallback plan, then I'm not too concerned. Be sure to file for social security disability when you get out, so you can collect that and your military retirement benefits. Otherwise, I assume, you are going to be waiting a long time for your actual social security and let's face it, there is no point of being alive after 60.
