What are some light reading books that are not for manchildren? Sometimes I cannot devote a full brain to my book like if I'm tired on a plane or something, and don't want to open some dense treatise. Yet even still, I would not waste my time on genre fiction.

Short stories; young adult fiction. Because YA tends to be shorter and have simpler themes but, beware, finding good YA can be like sifting through a pile of shit to find a diamond.
