Is there more books that introduce Buddhism to a western audience. Preferably non-fiction

You could start from Alan Watts or Shangharakshita. There's plenty, these are just who I read first, and they made me want to read more and start practicing.

read boddhi's "in the buddha's words", knowing it has theravada bias. read some more sutras, then "Paul Williams - Mahayana Buddhism - The Doctrinal Foundations" for a mostly historical overview of mahayana
