Now that everyone is moving away from Derrida, Wittgenstein, Heidegger, and even Foucault (from what I heard from my professor) which philosophers are "in" right now?

Isn't philosophy more focused on linguistics and hermeneutics right now? Hence being very much under the influence of Derrida and so forth?

You can deny it all you want but there is nothing like taking it apart from the inside. And to be on the inside you have to know what you are on the inside of. You can complain about it all you want, and fight the enemy where he is not. But it is an entirely different thing to meet him where he is and better yet to find him where he is, beat him at his own game, with his own words, and for his own good.

they are all fools for ever abandoning hegel. All of academia should be focused on figuring out how to beam hegel into peoples brains.

Most academics are moving away from abstract cross-discipline philosophising. Most of them focus on the work of other academics in the field. Unless you're in that world of conferences and journal article writing/reviewing of niche within a niche topics within already specialised disciplines you will never hear about most of them. And they keep up with their in this manner contemporaries because it's a mutual game of recognition.

Philosophy is dead; it will soon be relegated to the field of history, just like how scholars study ancient philosophies and religions.
