How good are you at actually remembering quotes? I understand remembering the events of a story via imagery, but how can this method possibly apply to non-fiction texts, such as abstract concepts? Can you associate images even with mere "ideas"?

This may be to autistic but to achieve complete knowledge of a book or text I read it outloud than play it back in 4 times speed.

For quotes I write them Down and religious repeat it .

I assume it's different when it's your own voice. I've started watching YouTube videos on 3x speed, I find this here a little fast but not entirely incomprehensible. No time to really digest though.

Yeah you have to build up to it , I used a chrome add on called YouTube playback and podcast addict to listen to audio above 2 times speed .

I believe the theoretical limit is 5 times speed , but I think comprehension can go further If I have a child and incrementally increase the speed of everything they listen to.

You are correct
Different factors determine how fast I can listen to an audio recording .

Is wrong that I will give my kids tools to be better than me . I wish my parent had an autistic desire of optimization.

I didn't know not sub-vocalizing is possible. Isn't that just looking at the letters instead of reading?
