1,665 Authors
3,930 Books
.mobi format

http://bitsnoop.com/kindle-library-q17936421.html

Downloaded this and just spent a bit of time working on creating a nice list of all the books in it, had to use regex to get rid of the pointless files from the ls so I though I'd post the fruits of my labour for others to share.

Each author has their own .rar in the torrent, so you can easily just download the ones you want.

And here's the list of books:

inb4 this sinks to page 15 because of all the new threads requesting free ebook sites.

also: thanks OP. Brofist. I already have most of these but if my Kindle was empty i'd be cumming.

because it's a waste of time and bandwidth. if you want an album, you download it. no ones going to read all the books in this archive just like no one is going to listen to all the crappy albums in a discog

>> No.1435863

>>1435851
but you don't have to dl all the books, you could just select one or two authors if that was all you wanted. and if you don't want ALL the books by one author, well, .mobi files aren't that big, so it's not a huge waste.

Yes, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple's store, Sony's store, the several other ebook retailers, Gutenberg.

Also the usual internet sources do have plenty of well formatted books, however the scans have been around longer than the commercial ebooks have been popular so they're more common.

tl;dr: stop being a baby, and complaining about the work other people did to produce something for you for free. If you have a problem fix the releases yourself and re-upload to the community. I have no problems with leeches, but I have little tolerance for whiny leeches.

I know about them (library.nu) and you're right: they are better organized than others and it's one of the first places to go. Unfortunately the bulk of their collection is the same shit that goes around on torrents and sandys.

FYI

I bet that OP's torrent is from the demonoid user now known as digitallibrarian, who released a kindle/mobi version of his semifrequent releases of large ebook collections a few months back.

You can find his latest one here, in epub:

http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2481204/28937124/

and a 400+ book update for that torrent here:

http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2506086/1804596/

***

demonoid has an excellent ebook section/community that should be among your rounds for ebooks, along with the others.

google 'Calibre'.

also before you transfer. set your .Mobi output settings to author sort otherwise it does the authors name by forename. more importantly is just getting Calibre though.

Are the books on library.nu good quality on a kindle? I'm thinking about buying one.

Using Kindle for PC, they're fantastic. If it shows up the same on the Kindle, then yes, I would say it works just fine.

And now I'm going to have to dig up a microUSB to USB cable. I don't think I'm going to bother. They can't possibly cost too much.

Probably because most of these books are still under copyright, and therefore illegal to download in many countries. That said, there was an archived thread a while back that listed a ton of good resources for legal acquisition of public domain ebooks.
