Orthodoxy is just a political instrument. Wherever it goes the orthodox church serves the powerful: Russia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Greece... They canonized fucking Tsar Nicholas II. Like, wtf? Where did the NT come from? From Christ and his disciples, which comprise the head and the body of the Church. To say that the Body of Christ is not the source of divine inspiration is to say that the words of Christ and his disciples were not divinely inspired, which I'm sure you don't mean. Holy Scripture is about the Church, the body of Christ (both literally and symbolically) and was recorded by the Church. If the body of Christ was not the source of divine inspiration then neither is Scripture.

Copts are not in communion with the orthodox. Oriental orthodoxy has heretical christology, most often some form of monophysitism or nestorianism.

There a couple of crazy sedevacantists who put out an hour long documentary exposing his contradictory positions and other fuckery. There's some fluff but it's worth watching. The thing with him is that he has a certain rhetorical gift and if you don't know what you're talking about it's easy to come away thinking he knows something. If somebody were to talk with him over email he would get destroyed, and if you don't believe me then transcribe one of his debates. Not only do the pathetic attempts to dominate other speakers shine through the text but this allows you to actually analyse his arguments.

i could beat him in a debate as a poorly read catholic layman. his entire argument is usually the essence energy distinction but absolute divine simplicity isn't even explicitly catholic dogma, though it is the general consensus and probably right, so even if it is wrong, his argument doesn't invalidate the catholic church. plus he denies the filioque, which is straight up heresy.
