You're taking it too seriously. 7 pages is only 2,000 to 3,000 words. Can you not accomplish 250 words a minute of reading? Your job could literally be done in less than 2 hours.

You have a ton of time, just do it.

Why do you use a butterfly as your name? And have you ever read "Speak, Memory" by Nabokov?

Back when I first came to /lit/ I just grabbed a section of text from /b/ back when they were doing Zalgo. My browsers font made it look more square to me at the time and I didn’t see the butterfly till later. The motion chevrons are another story. It wasn’t supposed to be referred to, but people called me butterfly ever since.
No, I’ve never read any Nabokov.

Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

I have to respectfully point out that neither of us are using a tripcode, anon. I started namefagging within the last few days because I want to be held to account for my opinions and writing so that I can improve. The veil of anonymity permits one to be inconstant and retarded without consequence, and (as uncomfortable as it makes me in some regards) if I want to hold literature and my own writing as a life pursuit, I think this is necessary.

Speak, Memory is a collection of autobiographical musings bent toward the dynamics and fluidity of human memory of the course of his life. His love of lepidopterology comes up frequently and there's a lot of butterfly allusions. I just thought you'd enjoy it, if there was any deeper personal meaning to your choice of a butterfly. But, if it's just incidental, maybe not.

Sounds more interesting than a lot of his fiction. I’ll consider it. Thanks.

I've only read that, "Invitation to a Beheading" (which was like "The Trial" or "The Stranger" with a more positive conclusion), and his angry opinions of other authors. So my Nabokov study is unorthodox, I think.
