Fuck fuck fuck. I entered a writing competition and my short story is due in three days. I trashed five attempts over the last three months and I'm starting an entirely new story. Is it even possible to write a decent short story within that time? What do I do?

Do what everyone else does, do the initial draft as a greentext story and then rewrite it.

I've never thought about using greentexts lol. I usually make something similar but never in such an organized system. Unironically thanks for the idea.

I probably will lose. But I really need that money and it's a good opportunity.

Nigga there are better ways to make money than a fucking competition. If you lose, boohoo, on to the next thing. Take this opportunity to submit something, anything.
Three days is plenty. Worst case scenario write a story about how you don't know what to write. Works every tim
