I knew a guy with a bookshelf exactly like this. He would push all his books to the very back of the shelf, so the spines all stuck out at different lengths for some reason. Also he had stacks and stacks of board games that took up at least half the shelf space, not even books.

Dude was a huge faggot

The books either represent something I wanted to own (Lovecraft and Tolkien) or a particularly long and tedious train ride/holiday.

Nothing terribly lucrative. I worked at the local university writing center as a grad (and undergrad), but now I sub, tutor kids at a tutoring franchise, and do some private tutoring and copy editing for college students. I had thought about alternate licensure for teaching, but this county doesn't pay that well, so I'm looking for steady outs. Tried image searching. From OP's post:

>I’m a bit OCD about my collection haha. I’m a big fan of hardcovers, and really really prefer series to be consistent in their sizes.

>SHELVES 1-3 •Star Wars new canon •Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere series’ •Game of Thrones •Wheel of Time

>All the same height and measurable. All of these are considered adult novels and conform to the (mostly) standard height of 9.5 inches. The one exception is the leather bound copy of The Well of Ascension on shelf 2. It’s about a half inch to an inch shorter than the rest. Not sure where that one will end up. I want to keep it with Sanderson’s other works, but it might end up on a classics leather bound shelf.

>SHELF 4 •Harry Potter •Kingkiller Chronicles •TPB Comic collection

>The comics are only on this shelf temporarily. They’ll probably be moved to the bottom shelf soon. I just put them there so they would stand up straight. Need a decent bookend before moving them to their own shelf. Harry Potter, and the Kingkiller Chronicles are technically considered younger adult novels which have a different height. Instead of 9.5 they stand about 9.2-9.3 inches. So every single book on the shelf is not the same height, each rows books are uniform height. I like organizing them like this because you don’t notice the different sizes.

Anon, not to be intrusive but you are projecting a lot. Eve just by the pic related in this post here, you navel-gaze at people who you say put on a 'contrarian' facade and act better than everyone else. It's super hypocritical and your lack of self-awareness about the entire thing makes me wonder why you take yourself so seriously--not that one shouldn't take oneself seriously, but that to do so requires a kind of self-awareness that you clearly lack. Why are you so intent to find a way to convince yourself you're smarter than people who fancy themselves smart?

It's unbecoming as all fuck, my dude.
