Recently read some Bakker.
Some novels and also his blind brain theory.
Which made wonder. All of these things about neuroscience and so forth are neat but is it really that terrible?
I mean acknowledging this darkness, this void from which the perception of the self flows, isn't all too painful for me. I can't really see dread. This blackbox could literally be anything. Biocomputer or a god that cursed us with flesh.
Most philosophy has moved on from this anyway.

How do you cope with the fact that you are a flesh puppet if it of some concern to you?

So, Bakker invented atheistic Calvinism?

No of course not.
Blind brain theory is something different of course that is more reliant on neuro science.
It's just that the underlying ground is similar.
