This, I am also reading Confessions of a Mask and I think you should try it. Mishima himself quotes Dosto in the intro.

>> No.14204715

Life for Sale by Yukio Mishima.
More absurd and pulpy, but similar in themes of alienation. Not really like Mishima's other stuff

Naomi has some similar vibes, and overall is a great book. Also worth mentioning; I read No Longer Human, and Naomi right after, I liked Naomi much more.

Yes there is, it has pictures of Mishima, Soseki, Dazai, etc. with lines indicating the relationships between them, like Mishima hated Dazai and so on.

>> No.14208745

>>14208457
Why did Mishima hate Dazai?

>> No.14208993

They went to an Onsen together an Dazai's dick was obviously bigger.

>> No.14209379

Ah I see you have good taste. Dazai Osamu has a few other books such as schoolgirl, the setting sun, goodbye. For other authors I say any murakami novel is quite similar in style and topic also any other Japanese authors work well too. Such as Soseki and Tanizaki Junichiro. Out side of Japan I think Dostoevsky has a similar feel.
