Plato said you should start with the Maths, not the Greeks, which means Wittgenstein did the right thing.

How does this sound OP:

Write the next Tractatus, then you can ignore whatever you want. Do what he did. Stroll into Cambridge (or somewhere of similar pedigree) and convince on of today's preeminent philosophers is whatever area you like to take you on after a brief discussion. Change the game in one book afterwards.

Do this, and I swear, I will never tell you to start with the Greeks again.

Metaphysics was destroyed not by any philosopher but by worldly events, by the mid-late 19th century. Any later attempts to "revive" "metaphysics" is essentially alien to the traditional project of first philosophy from the early modern period and before

That doesn't make any sense as a take on Nietzsche. He wasn't out to destroy metaphysics. Metaphysics were hardly a concern, and for what little it held his attention, he fucking wrote metaphysics.

Yet another example of the fact that it's not that pseuds like Nietzsche, is that pseuds think pseuds like Nietzsche and say Nietzsche is for pseuds to distinguish themselves as non pseuds. You can tell by the fact that everyone who has shit to talk on Nietzsche has clearly not read him.

Cambridge Is probably the only place on earth who can take on a guy like Wittgenstein. He never attended classes (except for few Russell and Moore ones )
Or took exams. He just did what he fucking wanted, he never really approached philosophy from academic point of view.

I know almost nothing about his philosophy but a fair bit about himself. Why is he revered so much? Saddler said others did what he did deeper prior to him.

Wittgenstein probably gave Saddler an existential crisis, that's why he doesn't like him that much. Wittgenstein said that all philosophical propositions are just nonsense even the ones he wrote himself, which of course Saddler or really any academic "philosopher" can't accept.

he still use some ideas from his early philosophy. Latter Wittgenstein was influenced by Freud and wanted more practical approach like the language games.

>Wittgenstein was insisting that a proposition and that which it describes must have the same 'logical form', the same 'logical multiplicity'. Sraffa made a gesture, familiar to Neapolitans as meaning something like disgust or contempt, of brushing the underneath of his chin with an outward sweep of the finger-tips of one hand. And he asked: 'What is the logical form of that?'
