Is it cucked to feel the need to tell the world about your sins?

For example: if a man cheats on his wife and starts crying about how he needs to tell her to relieve himself of the guilt, is that cucked? Obviously I think cheating is wrong, but why couldn't you live within yourself if she doesn't know?

In situations like this, it's really just a big narcissistic jerk off that is cathartic for you, but will probably ruin your marriage. It does absolutely nothing good except for cause the wife great distress and destroy a family (depending on how you see the situation and the person).

In these situations, the person is subconsciously wants to be punished and it makes them nothing more than a mental midget.

Yes. Also, there are no "sins", there's only crimes. And it's only a crime if you get caught.

Of course they want to be punished. You don't commit injustice freely. Punishment is the balance of justice.

Reading the Constance Garnett translation atm but everybody says the Pevear version is better. Should i stop reading Garnett's translation and order Pevear? Would it make much of a difference to finish Garnett's and revisit the novel with Pevear's version at a later date?

If you can read Garnett fine and are enjoying it there's nothing wrong with it. She apparently made a few mistakes but it shouldn't be anything that destroys the meaning. Garnett was the standard English translation for half a century, it can't be that bad. The meme on /lit/ is actually to shit on P&V because of an article that shits on them (of course there are probably dozens of articles that praise P&V, but that isn't as memeable).

sins and crimes are in different worlds. one is moral and the other legal. technically a sin is whatever brings you (exclusively you if you are an egoist), your family and humanity closer to death.
