He went to university. First he enrolled in Oriental Languages with the intention of becoming a diplomat. Then he changed the course to Law, but abandoned it too. The passages in Boyhood and Youth were he revives the events of his academic life are hilarious. He was expecting classes to be brilliant, but when a professor started talking he immediately though it was mediocre and started making doodles in his notebook and cease listening.
