Why do we come here? Why do we refresh and type to the late hours of the night?
I opine that most seek humour and amusement, which – contrary to certain opinions – are not negative components of the board (unless they are in excess or base), but rather earmarks.
Others seem to seek and engage in unproductive or unrelated nonsense.
On account of this latter conduct, /lit/ has become a sympotic shitfest awash with boresome, musty memes and measly, misspelled posts.
To those who come here seeking like-minded brethren and sistren (as few as the womenfolk are) in the hopes of discussing literary matters, our efforts are thwarted by shite-talk and foolery – not to mention /pol/ish drivel.
/lit/ must be retaken through the production of tasteful threads of substance and the driving out of the 'midwits'.
