Sind sie Deutsch?

Good Conservative books?

I suggest reading about the Jacobites. I am currently reading a biography of Sarsfield. I think you will find that pretty much everyone who is not a Jacobite or something similar is a god damn Mason or some derivative.

Only a little bit, and never any full work from beginning to end, just individual pieces.
I'll take a deeper dive later, I downloaded some classical music recently to try and broaden my horizons and there is some Wagner coming up I believe

Yes, so have you listened to Bachs Fugues and comprehend them? The rich emotion dialectic character which even Wagner rarely achieves in the same obscure sense. Any theory behind it?

The four great Bach music I think of, if you cantlisten to Agnus dei and think of it as shallow after knowing this you hav not understood Bach. One has to focus on both pieces and how the play, you be suprised how difficult it be to get into counterpoint when trained on a monophonic mind. I first understood bach as teenager, and when I did it was revolution. Absolute shit. Revelation. The richness nothing can contrast in depth of exposition and by that emotional complexity. It's always good when the great monophonic artists create something polyphonic too:

One by Beethoven:https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAgdd2VqLVc

One by Wagner(he blends themes of polyphonism with monophonism which is my opinion one of best examples of polyphonism in the history of music): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nhcTllJgIY

With a beautiful piece directly after: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB8RcpkFSRY
