Define short and modern. I'll stick to around 100 pages

The 7 Deadly Innocent Frauds by Warren Mosler (from 2010s)

Piketty isnt exactly short, but I did enjoy it quite a bit.

I know his thesis was that capital accumulation and inequality are bad, but I couldnt help take away the exact opposite from his work. I was just like 'fuck I gotta start accumulating capital and pull away from these proletariat trash'

Conclusion made

>capitalism bad

actual conclusion to take

>buy stocks

the whole book is about one thing, that owning capital has a better return than anything about 5% and this causes inequality. Therefore buy stocks.

>inequality bad

but why? Leftist support the life styles of hunter gatherers so how can they be against inequality. Poverty is not the same thing as suffering.
