I haven't really read much poetry outside of what was taught in high school. I have a plebeian experience of the art form.
As weird as it may seem, I've come to feel as though there's something missing from me that I feel a deeper exploration in to poetry may fill.
Could anybody give me some recommendations and/or a sense of direction?

Any particular works from either? Like Leaves of Grass I recognize is Whitman's opus. Should I just seek out some "Complete collection" editions?
